About Puja

Mahāśivarātri is the most sacred night dedicated to Lord Śiva, revered as the occasion of Liṅgodbhava—the moment when the infinite, formless Śiva manifested as the radiant pillar of consciousness. Worship performed during the Liṅgodbhava Kālam (12:00 AM – 1:00 AM) is regarded as supremely powerful, capable of granting liberation-oriented merit, destruction of sins, and profound inner awakening.
On 15th February 2026, during this exalted midnight hour, Ekādaśa Rudra Abhiṣekam and Lakṣa Bilva Patra Arcanā are performed as a unified Śaiva sādhanā. Ekādaśa Rudra Abhiṣekam invokes the eleven Rudra manifestations of Śiva, symbolizing the dissolution of ego, ignorance, and accumulated karmas through sacred abhiṣeka dravyas accompanied by Vedic Rudra mantras.
This is followed by Lakṣa (1,00,000) Bilva Patra Arcanā, where one lakh consecrated bilva leaves—dearest to Lord Śiva—are individually offered with devotion and mantra. The bilva leaf, praised in the Śiva Purāṇas as a symbol of purity and surrender, becomes a powerful medium of worship when offered in such magnitude during Mahāśivarātri.
The ritual flow culminates with the sealing of the devotee’s saṅkalpa through mantra-japa and sacred offerings, aligning the individual consciousness with Śiva-tattva during the most spiritually charged hour of the night.

The scriptures extol Mahāśivarātri worship, declaring:
“महाशिवरात्र्यां यो भक्त्या लिङ्गं संपूजयेद्धरम् ।
सर्वपापविनिर्मुक्तः शिवलोके महीयते ॥”

“One who worships the Śiva Liṅga with devotion on Mahāśivarātri is freed from all sins and attains the abode of Śiva.”

Our learned team of Pandits at VedaVidhi will perform this sacred Mahāśivarātri Sādhanā with strict adherence to authentic Vedic and Śaiva tradition, maintaining mantra-śuddhi, kāla-śuddhi, and ritual sanctity, seeking Lord Śiva’s blessings for karmic purification, spiritual elevation, inner peace, and liberation-oriented grace in the lives of devotees.
